The Blend: Typically an assemblage of 75% to 90% Chardonnay blended with 10% to 25% still Pinot Noir.
Grand Cru Terroir: The Chardonnay is harvested from old vines (averaging over 35–40 years old) in the famous chalky soils of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, while the Pinot Noir is sourced from premium Grand Cru plots in Bouzy or Ambonnay.
Nose: Bright aromas of fresh strawberries, wild red berries, orange rind, fresh hazelnuts, and a gentle chalky smokiness.
Palate: Crisp, incisive, and medium-to-full-bodied. Because it is crafted by a premier Blanc de Blancs house, the wine delivers a powerful beam of chalky minerality and laser-like tension, beautifully rounded out by juicy, fleshier red cherry and boysenberry notes from the Pinot Noir.
