Notes: This Anjou Blanc, crafted from non-botrytised fruit in Quarts de Chaume within Coteaux du Layon, offers all the richness of classic Coteaux without the heavy elderflower and honey notes of botrytis-affected grapes. Sourced from vines over 50 years old, this wine gains extra complexity from red clay-infused schist soils. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed and spend 8 hours on the skins to enhance texture and depth. A long, cool fermentation in 400L barrels follows, along with a 12-month aging period and a full malo-lactic conversion. Expect flavors of orchard fruits and candied citrus, accented by white flowers and a refreshing salty finish.
