In the Austrian tradition we make riesling "dry" so it is not sweet but refreshingly bright and clean on the finish.  The combination of floral and fruit aromatics, stone fruit on the front palate and crisp citrus on the finish makes this one of our favorite wines!  If you really know Riesling then you know - and if you think it's just a sweet wine, give this one a try!

Working with Coquelicot vineyard since 2017, we’ve really come to understand these 30 year old Riesling vines. The site is situated low lying in the Santa Ynez River bed so there's always lots of morning fog. This allows the fruit to ripen slowly so the grapes will retain good acidity. A cool 2023 harvest season created a beautifully crisp and racy fruit profile.  Orange blossom, and peach jumps out of the glass but is balanced by a refreshing citrusy finish.
